Exciting Opportunity: Established & Emerging Researchers and Academics in Peace Studies in Romania

Who are the most innovative researchers – academics in Romania working in the fields of peacebuilding, peace and conflict studies, conflict transformation and violence prevention? This can include young researchers as well as established researchers.

For young researchers they need to have a PhD or be currently doing their PhD. We are specifically looking for researchers addressing any of the following:

– Local Peace: national / domestic conflicts in Romania. These can include issues of social cohesion and inclusion; discrimination; rise of radicalisation and extremism; approaches to peacebuilding / societal peace;

– Europe, Peace and Security: regional and international peace and security including the role of the EU in peacebuilding and peace support internationally;

– Feminist Peace: feminism and feminist approaches to peace / peace research / peacebuilding;

– Peace and Emerging Technologies: focusing on use of innovative technologies for enhancing conflict analysis and early warning but also for strengthening and supporting peace initiatives, peacebuilding and violence prevention;

– Peace and Climate: looking at the intersections of peace and climate change and the impact of climate change on conflicts

We are looking for researchers to join a brilliant new COST programme bringing together all the leading peace research Institutes in Europe to strengthen collaboration and exchange. The project includes exciting exchange and collaboration opportunities and support for new and emerging researchers.

We very much encourage applications from researchers of diverse backgrounds.
