The International Congress: Memory, Legacy, and Presence in the Public and Media Space will take place on September 26-27, 2024.

It will be hosted at the University of Porto, focusing on historical fascism and the radical right in the 20th and 21st centuries.

– Antifascist resistance and its representation in oral history and museums.

– The relationship between fascism, neoliberalism, and post-fascism.

– The impact of fascist ideologies in various regions like Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico.

– Discussions on censorship, propaganda, and cultural control during authoritarian regimes.

– Youth radicalization in right-wing movements today.

These topics are critical for understanding the continuing influence of fascism and the radical right in shaping political ideologies and cultural memory, as well as their implications for democracy and social justice.
