Active European Citizens Against Hate Speech

The project is directly aimed at encouraging democratic and civic participation of young European citizens at Union level by understanding of the EU policies of initiatives on combating hate speech and xenophobia. Exchange of ideas will promote critical thinking among young people and make them debate on the European values which are attacked by Eurosceptics. Awareness raising about consequences of hate speech will help to combat stigmatisation of minority groups. Every project activity will aim to include the representatives of immigrants and minority groups, not only from the capitals but also from regions and other countries, thus fostering intercultural dialogue and social cohesion.

The project will allow the partners to identify gaps and collect goods practices on how to tackle hate speech, xenophobia, and Euroscepticism, and promote European values through debates and exchange of ideas and practices.
