Workshop on WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY, with Luisa Del Turco – December 8, 2023

What is masculine and what is feminine?
How conflict is perceived according to gender perspective?
What is the role of women in peacebuilding processes?

During the annual campaign “16 days of activism against gender-based violence” taking place in Cluj-Napoca, the Romanian Institute for Peace – PATRIR has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the Women, Peace and Security event, which will be diving into these questions and more. Through engaging workgroups on gender issues, you will be guided in conflict perception from an intersectional gender approach. You will also have the opportunity to find out more about the UN 1325 Resolution Women, Peace and Security, which encompasses the UN Women efforts to support women’s full and equal representation and participation in all levels of peace processes and security efforts.

The keynote speaker of the event will be Luisa del Turco: “Women, Peace and Security” Advocate and Advisor, trainer, lecturer and expert in non-violent transformation of conflicts, peacebuilding and Peace Policies.

The event will take place on 8 December between 16:00-18:00 , in the Jean Monnet Room of the Faculty of European Studies and you can register here: https://forms.office.com/e/7SPK982Smi. The event will be held in English.
