Pablo Zapata, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Romania, visited Ukraine Hub.

On March 28th, we welcomed Pablo Zapata, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Romania (UNHCR Romania), to Ukraine House. UNHCR Romania is our partner in establishing and developing the protection hub for Ukrainian refugees in Cluj.

During the meeting, we discussed crucial topics concerning support for the Ukrainian community in Cluj-Napoca, particularly how the local community and institutions can collaborate with international and non-governmental organizations to continue ensuring suitable conditions of protection for those who have fled from the war.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the representatives of UNHCR România for their unwavering and systematic support of the Ukrainian community, their contributions to educational and integration processes, and their assistance to vulnerable populations.

It’s been more than two years since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine. PATRIR continues to stand by the war-affected community both in the region through the protection and assistance activities we offer at UA House Cluj – Клуж, UA House Sighisoara – Сігішоара and UA Child Education Hub – освітній проєкт для українських дітей, as well as through activities carried out within Ukraine, working with youth and civil society on conflict sensitivity issues and to foster the healing process.
