Who are the Training Programmes For?
The two training programmes are designed for a wide category of professionals interested to develop knowledge and skills on designing, implementing and utilizing effective evaluations and designing impactful evidence-based initiatives in the following fields:
The language of delivery of the programmes will be in English, while participates may take part in both Romanian and English.

Training 1: Improving Capabilities for Evidence-Based Evaluation for Social Impact: How to Design, Implement, and Utilize Effective Evaluation in Programming and Interventions

Agenda
The first training will provide a practical, hands-on 1-day program to improve capabilities for designing, developing and utilizing evidence-based evaluation to improve programming and social interventions. It is for participants who wish to improve practical expertise and knowledge on front-of-field tools and how to do evaluation. It will also include training on the INDEED Evidence-Based Evaluation Tool designed for public institutions, law enforcement agencies and civic organisations. The training will cover the following topics:
- Why evaluations matter for impactful programming, social interventions and European Funds initiatives
- What is evidence-based evaluation?
- The INDEED Evidence Based Evaluation Model and Tool
- The INDEED Risk and Protective Factors Repository
- Main Types and Approaches to Evaluation
- Designing and Planning Evidence-Based Evaluations
- Methods & Approaches to Data-Analysis
- Using Evaluation Results to Improve Practice and Policy
By the end of the training, participants will understand the core principles and practices of evidence-based evaluation, why evaluation is important and how to use the INDEED Tool to design and develop evaluations effectively, approaches and methods, stakeholder engagement, and how to use evaluation results to support improving policy and practice.
Training 2: Designing Evidence-Based Programming and Social Interventions

The second training will provide a two-day, practical, hands-on programme on how to design impactful initiatives in prevention, social inclusion, tackling hate and hate-speech, that are evidence-based. The training will address:
- What is meant by ‘evidence-based’ practice
- Why Designing with Evidence is important and how to do it well: The INDEED Evaluation Tool
- 5 Steps in Effective Design:
- Situation & Needs Analysis;
- Intervention Objectives & Goal Setting;
- Designing initiatives;
- Integrating Evaluation into Interventions;
- Making prevention and social inclusion initiatives ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘fit for need’
- How to use Theories of Change and Types of Change, Assumptions Mapping
- How to improve planning and initiatives
By the end of the training, participants will understand the core principles of evidence-based design, how to use the INDEED Tool to design and develop effective and impactful initiatives for social change and impact.
