Project Title: Enhancing the participation of migrants through the creation of migrant councils
The aim of the project is to promote refugee and migrant participation in the design and implementation of integration and related policies at local, regional, and national level in seven EU countries: Austria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Romania.
The objectives of the projects are:
- To support the setting up and/or strengthening by tailored capacity-building activities of 7 migrant councils (5 new and 2 existing ones), at local and regional level in seven EU countries in close collaboration with public administrations.
- Promote the exchange of experiences between local and regional public authorities about the involvement of migrants in the design of integration policies and their implementation.
- Enhance the capacity of local and regional authorities to effectively consult migrants on policies that directly affect them.
The project “MigrantVoicesHeard – Enhancing the participation of migrants through the creation of migrant councils” is funded with support from the European Union under the AMIF Programme and has a duration of 24 months (22/11/2021 – 22/11/2023).
